The best part about the non-winter we had this year, is that we were able to work with our clients to start engagement sessions early while avoiding the crazy heat
Just a few weeks ago we caught up with Chris and Kaelynn at Chittenango Falls. We had a great time at their session and are really looking forward to being a part of their day in August!
Our last wedding post of the 2011 wedding season and it’s one of our favorites from the year! It was especially enjoyable to work with Mary & Matt, as not only are they an amazing couple, we’ve also been friends for sometime. It was with great pleasure and excitement to be able to capture their day!

Andrea and Matt were one of the thousands of couples to choose 11-11-11 as their wedding date. While northern NY also saw it’s first snow fall on this day, that didn’t stop this couple from enjoying their day! Andrea and Matt’s ceremony took place at St. John’s Church with their reception following at Daniele’s in New Hartford. Congratulations Andrea and Matt!
In mid January 2011 Jamie and Nick contacted us asking about photographing their day. Their note started off just like most inquires we get, yet just before the closing Jamie states:
‘One thing I think I should mention is that this is a gay wedding. We’ve faced some discrimination during our planning process thus far, so we like to mention this up front.’
Shocked at the fact they were being discriminated against from vendors, in an industry that’s about celebrating, capturing and being apart of one of the biggest moments in a couples life, I responded and explained that we’d love to be apart of their day if they would have us, as it turned out they did! We are glad they held their event in Upstate NY and that we could be there to capture it for them! Congratulations Jamie & Nick!!
Now that we have wrapped up our final weddings for the year, I’m working to get back on top of my blog posts, reviewing / editing photos and working to get final DVD sets out to clients. Jessica and Derek were one of our October couples who had an ‘eventful’ day. The weather can be a bit unpredictable for October in upstate NY, yet their glowing expressions say it all. Here’s a few from their day!
Katie & Jeff had a beautiful fall day in Inlet, New York. The area is a great place to capture the true beauty of fall in upstate NY! Their ceremony was held in the small Church of the Lakes, before taking off to stroll through downtown Inlet for some candid shots. They day was capped off with a reception on the waterfront of Fourth Lake, at The Woods Inn. Congratulations Katie & Jeff!!

Last weekend we took a quick trip out to Thornden Park in East Syracuse to meet up with Steve and Elizabeth. Even though several of our scheduled sessions with them had been rained out, we ended up with a sunny and beautiful day. Steve and Elizabeth were a blast to work with!! As it turns out, we have a lot in common and enjoyed some great conversation between shots. One of the best parts about engagement sessions for us is walking away feeling like we made new friends. We can’t wait to be apart of their day next July!

While we typically stick to engagement sessions and weddings, when we were asked to shoot Olivia’s senior pictures we couldn’t say no! Check out some of the great shots we were able to capture with her. We wish her the best of luck in her senior year!
Congratulations to our latest couple Tara and Ryan!! Tara and Ryan celebrated their day at Stonebridge Country Club in New Hartford. The folks at the club were kind enough to give us free rein of the course to grab the best shots possible.
